I have been playing guitars with Floyd Rose style tremolos for over twenty years, every guitar I own has one, if you use this style of tremolo "free floating" ( ability to raise pitch /lower pitch with bar) the main problem you will face is poor sustain, because the tremolo sits on two small knife edges and does not make contact with the body of the guitar the only way to achieve more sustain is to increase mass by using a bigger sustain block, Brass and Titanium have been used and work well but may require routing of the guitar to accommodate the increased block size or lose the amount you can raise the pitch by pulling up on the tremolo bar, this is why I purchased this block, it is the same thickness as a standard block but much heavier(added almost a pound to the guitar) the guitar now has Les Paul type sustain, the difference is incredible, note clarity is way better and the guitar cuts through the mix with the band better, did brighten the tone of the guitar, (listen to different sustain blocks to find YOUR favorite tone) make sure you have enough room for the new block , it fits an ESP M II with no room to spare, you can also get a 37mm block which is shorter if needed, I will replace every sustain block I have with the Tungsten block, very easy to install, just remember to keep your saddles in order so you keep the correct radius on your tremolo
