This album is a big disappointment to me. With a voice like Butler has, why drown it out, beat it down, and kick it to the curb with such loud semi professional instrumentals?I would have thought with her connections she could have been backed up much better allowing her compelling range to take the show. Not her fault, but the producer of this album insured that Rosemary Butler will remain one of the best back up vocalists around in the 70s and 80s, but never an accomplished soloist.Good song selection and back up by my old friend from the. 60'sGreat CD. Fine spirited singer!over all okay - she can sing there's no doubt about that, but not too crazy about the record.I know of Rosemary Butler from her always-excellent work as a background vocalist for James Taylor and Jackson Browne.Given that, I expected this disc to be a little more acoustic-folky. It's not, and that's not a bad thing. All but two songs are up-tempo pop-rock numbers, which I would compare favorably with Pat Benatar's 80s catalog or perhaps Quarterflash. The ballads are where she really gets a chance to shine. She's a gifted singer, and it sounds like she's really having fun. The only reason I couldn't give this disc 5 stars is because the vocals are often buried in the mix on the up-tempo numbers, drowned out by the rhythm track. Her voice is much clearer on the two ballads. This is no reflection on Ms. Butler, but just shoddy mixing.A solid effort overall, and well worth the price of admission.I have loved hearing Rosie sing for years. What a voice, and what powerful delivery. She has an amazing range, that distinguishes her from the crowd. The mix could have been better on this one, but it was still thoroughly enjoyable. Her ballads on this one are wonderful. Her loose relaxed singing on stage as she belted out back-up for the likes of Jackson Browne and James Taylor, definitely took the spotlight for me. I would love to hear more from her.Cd arrivato in perfette condizioni e in tempi molto veloci sicuramente da tenere in considerazione per i prossimi acquisti anche su altri generiモータースポーツドキュメンタリー映画「ウィニングラン」の日本公開時のテーマソングとして使われた「CALL OF THE WILD」が入っている。
